The reframe

Your hormones aren’t declining. They’re swinging.

And that one fact explains more of what you’re feeling than any symptom list.

The problem

One body. Five different places to understand it?

Her cycle in one app. Sleep on a wearable. Symptoms in a notes file, if anywhere. Workouts and food somewhere else. What she has learned lives in saved posts, podcasts and the course she bought last year.

All of it is happening in the same body. None of it is in one place — so no one can see what is changing, what keeps showing up, or what tends to happen together.

What’s built so far

ALJA keeps your cycle, symptoms, sleep, food, movement, mood, medications and health history in one record you own — and looks across all of it for what repeats and what has changed.

What we’re building toward

One health picture that can make use of more of the information you already have, wherever it lives today — without asking you to retype your life. That work is under way, and we’ll say exactly what is real when it is.

What ALJA promises

Three things an app should do for a body.

Remembers you. Your experience shouldn’t reset every time you open an app.
Sees your patterns. ALJA helps surface what repeats and changes over time.
Nudges gently. Useful guidance without turning your health into another job.

How fragmented is your health?

A two-step look at where your health information lives today. Nothing here asks what it says, and nothing leaves this page unless you choose to send us your answers.

Step 1 of 2
Where does your health live right now?

Tap everything you keep track of somewhere — an app, a wearable, a notes file, your memory. Nothing here asks what the information says.

How it feels over time

It starts with one sentence. It gets more useful every week.

You don’t set anything up. You say what is going on, and ALJA keeps it. Over weeks, what you said becomes something you can see — counted from your own check-ins, with the days shown.

ALJA is careful about what a pattern means. Two things showing up together in your logs is an association worth watching, not proof that one caused the other — and ALJA will say so.

Day 1 · you
“I haven’t been sleeping well.”
Over time · what Bestie counted
You’ve logged disrupted sleep 6 times this month.
Context · ALJA noticed
Brain fog was also logged on 4 of those days.
An early observation · Bestie
That’s an observation worth keeping an eye on — and worth mentioning at your next appointment.

An association in your own logs, not a conclusion about cause. ALJA does not diagnose.

The shift

From guessing to a plan you can read.

Every part of the confusion has a matching answer. Here is the shift, line by line.

  • 47 tabs, conflicting advice, 2am spirals
One record, with the research beside it
  • Symptoms that feel random and disconnected
A pattern you can see, with the days counted
  • “A few months? I think?” as the only history you have
A timeline that knows when it started and what changed
  • Dreading the doctor: seven minutes and a shrug
A one-page summary and the questions to ask
  • Feeling like you’re failing at your own body
Knowing what is changing, and what is worth raising next

Same body. A different relationship with it. Educational information only — not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Perimenopause Bestie and ALJA are not a substitute for care from a qualified healthcare professional.

The appointment

Bring more than a vague feeling to your appointment.

“I just don’t feel like myself.”

Is true, and impossible to act on in seven minutes. ALJA turns months of context into something a clinician can use — and hands the conversation back to you with the right questions written down.

ALJA doesn’t replace your healthcare professional. It helps you make better use of the time you have with one.

Guided programs · included

Stop buying courses. They’re built in.

Short, practical, and every one ends with something saved to your plan: your numbers, your routine, your priorities. Not eight hours of video you never finish. Written from clinical guidance and published research, with sources. New programs are added over time, and waitlist members help decide which come next.

A symptom library sits beside the programs: every symptom explained down to the mechanism, with its sources. Our evidence standards →

Evidence standards

Women’s symptoms deserve to be taken seriously — without overstating what the evidence shows.

Claims are sourcedImportant health statements carry their references, so you can follow them back.
Evidence quality mattersClinical guidance and systematic reviews first. Single studies and expert opinion are labelled as such.
Observation is not causationA pattern in your data is something to notice and raise, never an explanation on its own.
ALJA does not diagnoseIt helps you describe what is happening and prepare for care. Assessment belongs to a clinician who knows you.
Honest about the gapsWhere the research is mixed, thin, or still emerging, we say so instead of rounding it up.
Sources we work from
  • STRAW+10 — the reproductive ageing staging system. Harlow et al., Menopause, 2012.
  • SWAN, the Study of Women’s Health Across the Nation — including Avis et al. on symptom duration, JAMA Internal Medicine, 2015.
  • The Menopause Society and comparable professional bodies — position statements and clinical practice guidance.
  • NIH Office of Dietary Supplements — definitions and supplement evidence.
  • Named trials and systematic reviews, cited individually wherever a specific claim rests on them.

Citing these does not mean they endorse ALJA. They don’t.

Has a clinician reviewed this?
Not yet, and we won’t say otherwise. Our content is written from clinical guidance and published research and carries its sources, but no clinician has formally reviewed and signed off on ALJA. We are establishing that process and will name reviewers, with dates, only once it is genuinely done.
